Since I was a teenager, little things will come up and he'll go effervescent with rage, and I'll have no idea why. This makes sense of why. It's true, we can be flippant and rude and hostile and sound incredibly disrespectful without feeling even an ounce of negativity. I will say, I have heard men be unintentionally hurtful lots of times, too - people, in general, must learn to control their speech. But you are right - women have an uncanny ability just absolutely ooze disrespect in a way that sounds and feels so demeaning. Thank you so much for clarifying this issue in this way. I am a daughter in a large household and I have more than once wondered why my brother may say something but not me. I, however, have never asked, it was just part of the unfairness of how my brothers got treated.

I am still at home and even though I have been training to be a wife for some time, the aspect of respect, how women talk even when they are not truly angry, the differences between temperaments of men and women, has me sinking in shame into my seat. I have often been guilty of speaking flippantly and rudely to my father and am making a commitment to change now.

Thank you for this post.Zo-oidnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3115260514178140021.post-83757791509373788922014-03-08T14:37:05.815-06:002014-03-08T14:37:05.815-06:00I appreciate your analysis of how similar sounding...I appreciate your analysis of how similar sounding outbursts can come from two entirely different motivations. I, too, have both daughters and sons and it can be quite the challenge to train daughters to control their behavior rather than just following their feelings. Especially when I've only been training myself in this skill for a relatively short amount of my life. subject by designhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10587758866636087935noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3115260514178140021.post-80236876883002236062014-03-05T20:08:39.830-06:002014-03-05T20:08:39.830-06:00Awesome!Awesome!Carlottanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3115260514178140021.post-66287758468466245452014-02-24T15:44:57.519-06:002014-02-24T15:44:57.519-06:00In a mans world, true disrespect is a life or deat...In a mans world, true disrespect is a life or death matter. To receive disrespect from those we love cuts deeper and invokes more anger in us than any other form of insult. Res Ipsahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16433725505878267643noreply@blogger.com
